Founder and owner of HoverUp Imagery LLC Louis Zur Muhlen has been involved in aviation since 1992. After attending The Ohio State University and obtaining his B.S. in Aviation, Louis worked for a corporate flight department and then moved on to the airline industry. Louis holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP), Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI) and the FAA Remote Pilot (sUAS) certification.
All flights are conducted within full compliance of FAA Part 107 (UAS) regulations and by a FAA certified Remote Pilot. Safety and regulatory compliance is priority one at HoverUp Imagery. All flights are planned in advance and site locations are researched to determine suitability for a UAS flight and asses whether any FAA airspace authorizations will be required.
HoverUp Imagery currently utilizes the Phantom 4 Pro and Phantom 3 Advanced drones by DJI featuring a 20 megapixel camera capable of 4K video mounted on a 3-axis gimbal which provides for stable footage even in windy conditions. HoverUp drones are registered with the FAA.
If an individual plans to fly a drone in connection with their business they need to be certified by the FAA to do so. HoverUp Imagery provides that requirement for you so you do not have to invest in expensive equipment and meet FAA licensing and registration requirements.
